The Pastoral Epistles Layman’s Guide

The Pastoral Epistles Layman’s Guide, written by Dr. David Silver, highlights Paul’s final instructions to Timothy and Titus as they lead churches facing threats from false teaching. Paul urges them to guard the gospel, appoint godly leaders, and teach sound doctrine that produces transformed lives. The letters emphasize that true faith results in godliness, healthy relationships, perseverance in hardship, and devotion to good works. Above all, the church must uphold the truth of the gospel so it can flourish in character, stability, and witness to the world.

Strengthening the Church in Cameroon: A Partnership with CNBC

Following a "transformative" conference at Zion Baptist Church Mvogbesi in March 2026 , the Cameroon National Baptist Convention (CNBC) issued this formal letter of appreciation to Transformation Bible Ministries.

The letter highlights TBM's vital role in:

  • Equipping Leaders: Providing sound hermeneutics for a Convention rapidly expanding into new regions.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Initiating collaborations with the Baptist Evangelical School of Theology (BEST).
  • Holistic Ministry: Seeking medical advisory for the Blessed Hope Health Centre.

This endorsement underscores TBM’s global impact in "helping others study and apply the Bible" within the growing body of Christ in Cameroon.

Weekly Devotions

What Faith Already Knows

May 22, 2026

The hard part is that this kind of faith doesn’t always feel like much when you’re in the middle of a dark season.

Running Toward Repentance

May 15, 2026

“As we yield to the Holy Spirit, He will do the heavy lifting. He changes our character to make us more like Jesus.”

When God Uses Small Moments

May 8, 2026

What seems like a passing comment becomes something much more. A connection. A memory awakened—a heart touched in a place that still carries both love and grief.

The Bow in the Cloud

May 2, 2026

We carry the weight of broken promises so long that we start to assume every promise has a breaking point. We know better than to say that about God out loud.

Creation Speaks — And So Does Grace

April 24, 2026

Later, I asked her directly — “Where do you think your faith comes from?”

Temptation vs Testing

April 17, 2026

Temptation does not come from God. Its purpose is to pull us away—to weaken us, to distract us, to lead us into choices that ultimately bring harm, shame, or distance in our relationship with Him.

God Wrote the Words

April 10, 2026

When purpose takes over, the results move from the talent of man to the realm of the Divine. We see this “Divine” perfection most clearly…

The Sufficiency of Christ

April 3, 2026

Paul didn’t get his thorn removed. He got something better. He got the reminder that the God of the universe was personally present in his weakness.

Your Will be Done

March 27, 2026

God’s kingdom sums up everything a Christian longs for and Corinthians 13 describes this as a world characterized by faith, hope, and love. If our earthly world was built on only these three principles, how much more peaceful, more beautiful, and more livable would it be than the world we’re living in right now?

What Did the Lord’s Prayer Mean to Me?

March 20, 2026

For many people, the Lord’s Prayer is something they learn early in life. For me, it’s as ingrained as my instinct to breathe.

Blessed Are the Believers

By Robert Wilkins | June 13, 2020

Probably, one of the most calming verses in scripture is from Numbers 6

‘”The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”‘

It doesn’t shout, sneer, or condemn. It lifts up. It is easy to understand and applies to all. People have asked me what does it mean to be a Christian and I always tell them that it’s about a man — Jesus Christ.

Love Thy Neighbor

By Robert Wilkins | June 6, 2020

If you had to answer how you should live your life with so much anger and adversity surrounding you, what would you say? Would you point to others faults and blame them for what’s going on in the world? Would you blame government or our President who seems to polarize opinions about him? Or would you choose a different path?

Search the Heart and Test the Mind

By Robert Wilkins | June 1, 2020

Reading Exodus 32 this morning, I was dumbfounded when I came across Aaron’s reply to Moses about creating the golden calf in his absence. Moses had gone up the mountain to talk with God and to listen to God’s commands. Apparently, the conversation took too long for Moses’s people because they started complaining to his brother Aaron.

Agape. Unmerited Love

By Robert Wilkins | May 29, 2020

2020. What a year. Anxiety, stress, fear, and hatred are at an all time high. Just when we think things can’t get worse, we have a flashpoint event like what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis. More than ever, we need to reach out to each other and show love. We need to look at the light and fire in each other’s souls and embrace (from a distance) one another.

Promises, Promises, Promises.

By Robert Wilkins | May 9, 2020

Did you know that God made 5,467 promises in the Bible? Since God made all these promises, by definition, He must keep them all. God’s promises are irrevocable, His word is trustworthy, and God has always been faithful in keeping His promises.

Hebrews 13

By Robert Wilkins | May 8, 2020

The last chapter of Hebrews contains a powerful summary of wisdom and encouragement the early Christians and contemporary Christians need. Amongst all the advise in this closing of Hebrews, the writer made a very basic statement, talk the talk and walk the walk. Christians need to not only understand the Scripture, but to let it shape their lives.

Paying it forward

By Robert Wilkins | May 4, 2020

As of the writing of this post, the Coronavirus has claimed 307,000 people worldwide. Add to that horrific number, more than 90,000 new cases, closed businesses, laid off workers, financial stress, suicide, and depression. We have a worldwide crisis and a perceived time for panic. Panic or looking for hope? Believers of Jesus Christ have hope.

Hebrews 12

By Robert Wilkins | May 1, 2020

This was way out of my comfort zone. Spiritually, I was still pretty unsure of myself, I was self-conscious of what others thought of my faith — and I was not a hugger. In the meantime, my son attended a youth version of the retreat that I was invited to. But when I saw the pure joy in him, my decision was made. I agreed.

Revelation Study Guide

David Silver

Many people, even Christians, fear the book of Revelation. While it is one of the hardest books of the Bible to understand and apply, it is nonetheless possible to make great progress. It is actually one of the most encouraging books of the Bible. The main theme is for believers to continue to be faithful and endure tribulation, despite persecution, spiritual warfare, and trials. This study guide will take you through every chapter of Revelation and give you a good sense of the content and application. May God richly bless you as the book promises to those who take this book to heart.
