Weekly Devotions
The Bow in the Cloud
We carry the weight of broken promises so long that we start to assume every promise has a breaking point. We know better than to say that about God out loud.
Creation Speaks — And So Does Grace
Later, I asked her directly — “Where do you think your faith comes from?”
Temptation vs Testing
Temptation does not come from God. Its purpose is to pull us away—to weaken us, to distract us, to lead us into choices that ultimately bring harm, shame, or distance in our relationship with Him.
God Wrote the Words
When purpose takes over, the results move from the talent of man to the realm of the Divine. We see this “Divine” perfection most clearly…
The Sufficiency of Christ
Paul didn’t get his thorn removed. He got something better. He got the reminder that the God of the universe was personally present in his weakness.
Your Will be Done
God’s kingdom sums up everything a Christian longs for and Corinthians 13 describes this as a world characterized by faith, hope, and love. If our earthly world was built on only these three principles, how much more peaceful, more beautiful, and more livable would it be than the world we’re living in right now?
What Did the Lord’s Prayer Mean to Me?
For many people, the Lord’s Prayer is something they learn early in life. For me, it’s as ingrained as my instinct to breathe.
Why Does a Good God Allow Suffering?
Hardship often shifts our focus from temporary comfort to eternal hope. When life is easy, we tend to rely on ourselves. But when life becomes difficult, we often find ourselves turning to God for strength.
Fear and the Favorite Son
His life would travel from favorite son to a man marked for death, thrown in a pit, sold to nomadic travelers, and imprisoned for roughly thirteen years, before he became the second-most powerful man in one of the world’s greatest dynasties.
The View from the Pit
Oliver Hardy used to say, “This is a fine mess you’ve gotten us into.” It’s funny in a comedy sketch, but not so funny when it’s your actual life.
Proverbs 19:21
This verse creates a sense of purpose into each of our lives. The Lord has a plan for each and every one of us. Even more amazing than that, is his ability to follow us all on our journey of life and guide us back to our path. It can be quite confusing for some […]
1 John 5:5
To overcome the world means more than achieving your goals, getting that promotion at work, following your dreams, and creating success in your life on Earth. Overcoming the world includes triumph over evil and triumph over death. To overcome the world, means you will experience eternal life. Those who will achieve this, are those who […]
Psalm 30:5
When God does afflict, challenge, or become heated, it is only temporary. The love is always there, but the joy will ALWAYS come back. We can learn a lot from God’s lesson and apply it to our own, every day lives. No trial will ever bring us defeat if we continue to abide in God’s […]
Galatians 2:20
To be crucified with Christ means that we finally find the truth, the spiritual truth. We are united with Him. When reflecting on the phrase being “crucified with Christ”, you must remember that this is what God has done for YOU. All that God has done for you to have a new way of life […]
Hebrews 11:1
This verse gives us a twofold definition of faith. It is “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not.” This verse also adds hope into the mix. It is an unwavering hope, of course, because of the confidence in your faith. In order to better understand this verse, ask yourself: […]
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Picture this: you sleep through your alarm, so you have to skip breakfast and run out the door, even though you’re already late to work. When you get to work you forgot the notes for you important meeting at home. Can you picture that feeling? Frantic, stressed, defeated. Even if the last thing on your […]
Romans 8:18
This passage is a great reminder that you are in God’s hands. Sometimes, we walk through hard and trying times, but remember that God is still with you leading you to his path for you. There is another verse, Isaiah 66:9 that says, “I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born, […]
Matthew 7:7
“Ask and you shall receive” does not mean that God will grant you every little thing that you ask for. Ask in his name, and God will grant you good things. Remember, the phrase ask and you shall receive will never disappoint, since you do not need anything that is not in God’s will. In […]

Revelation Study Guide
David Silver
Many people, even Christians, fear the book of Revelation. While it is one of the hardest books of the Bible to understand and apply, it is nonetheless possible to make great progress. It is actually one of the most encouraging books of the Bible. The main theme is for believers to continue to be faithful and endure tribulation, despite persecution, spiritual warfare, and trials. This study guide will take you through every chapter of Revelation and give you a good sense of the content and application. May God richly bless you as the book promises to those who take this book to heart.
