A Message from the Treasurer
Todd Barrett
Transformation Bible Ministries has published a multitude of practical study guides covering many books of the Bible, as well as weekly devotionals and resource videos, all available on our website.
We invite you to consider partnering with us by making a donation. Your contributions allow TBM to produce Bible study resources, devotionals, and videos that reach people worldwide. Additionally, with a significant portion of our budget dedicated to international partnerships, your support helps us equip local congregations worldwide with our simple, foundational study guides and other resources that strengthen all Christians in their walk with the Lord.
Weekly Devotions
The Bow in the Cloud
We carry the weight of broken promises so long that we start to assume every promise has a breaking point. We know better than to say that about God out loud.
Creation Speaks — And So Does Grace
Later, I asked her directly — “Where do you think your faith comes from?”
Temptation vs Testing
Temptation does not come from God. Its purpose is to pull us away—to weaken us, to distract us, to lead us into choices that ultimately bring harm, shame, or distance in our relationship with Him.
God Wrote the Words
When purpose takes over, the results move from the talent of man to the realm of the Divine. We see this “Divine” perfection most clearly…
The Sufficiency of Christ
Paul didn’t get his thorn removed. He got something better. He got the reminder that the God of the universe was personally present in his weakness.
Your Will be Done
God’s kingdom sums up everything a Christian longs for and Corinthians 13 describes this as a world characterized by faith, hope, and love. If our earthly world was built on only these three principles, how much more peaceful, more beautiful, and more livable would it be than the world we’re living in right now?
What Did the Lord’s Prayer Mean to Me?
For many people, the Lord’s Prayer is something they learn early in life. For me, it’s as ingrained as my instinct to breathe.
Why Does a Good God Allow Suffering?
Hardship often shifts our focus from temporary comfort to eternal hope. When life is easy, we tend to rely on ourselves. But when life becomes difficult, we often find ourselves turning to God for strength.
Fear and the Favorite Son
His life would travel from favorite son to a man marked for death, thrown in a pit, sold to nomadic travelers, and imprisoned for roughly thirteen years, before he became the second-most powerful man in one of the world’s greatest dynasties.
The View from the Pit
Oliver Hardy used to say, “This is a fine mess you’ve gotten us into.” It’s funny in a comedy sketch, but not so funny when it’s your actual life.
The Resurrection of Sunday Without the Crucifixion of Friday
The crescendo from “Christ the Lord Has Risen Today” still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. It’s not just the melody, the trumpets, or the words of the Hymn that creates the emotional experience within me, it’s the power of it all. My Mom was not a big churchgoer and yet she used to look forward to hearing the song at Easter. I will look around to make sure no one is looking because I’m often too overwhelmed to sing along.
The Original Jesus Freaks
Most agree that there have been 5 Great Jesus Revivals in our history. The Jesus Movement, or the Twentieth Century Revival, is the one we might be most familiar with. It’s where the term “Jesus Freak” came from. Originally intended to reflect a positive light on people using spiritual gifts, Bible studies, and workings of the Holy Spirit in the modern world, eventually was hijacked by a subculture of the hippie crowd who focused on pacifism and universal love.
Put on the Full Armor of God
I’ve been wanting to get to know one of my neighbors better for a long time. We have always enjoyed good conversations at community gatherings and have even been in his boat a few times. He’s not as much of an extrovert as people claim I am and even though I know he’s a believer, he’s so quiet about it, I was curious about knowing more of his story. A while back, I asked him if he’d mind sharing his faith journey and in his always agreeable way, he said he would be glad to.
The End of the Rope
\Every morning before I read a single email, I spend quiet time in God’s word. One day this week, it began with Psalm 130, one of the seven Psalms collectively known as Songs of Ascents. The Psalm begins with a lament and ends with rays of hope that come from waiting for God. For some reason, the Psalm didn’t spiritually move me. I felt flat. It was either a lack of focus or a hardened heart that day. I was really disappointed with myself. Next, I went to read the day’s devotion.
Righteous or Self-Righteous Anger
Christian author and speaker, Joyce Meyer, once wrote that, “Anger is not a sin—it is what you do with it that becomes sin.” It sounds so logical doesn’t it? This thought is echoed through both the Old and New Testaments. Ironically, there are many things in the Bible that are implied but not declared. Anger, however, isn’t one of those things.
Should I Stay or Should I Go?
A very close friend of mine recently encountered this situation in his life. Some day, all of us will have to make a choice about moving, taking a new job, agreeing to terms, or staying put in our lives. Each scenario comes with its own set of reasons and for different people, the answers fit differently. After the Israelites had endured 400 years of horrible torture and slavery, God led them out of Egypt. Whatever gratitude they had towards God didn’t last.
Is the Tomb Empty or Not?
Nearly ever world religion and Christian denomination believes in some form of salvation from God. Most also believe that this salvation is a gift from God. A major split happens when we dig deeper.
There are kings and There Are Kings
My run this morning took me on a sandy trail that skirts along a mile of beautiful shoreline. This stretch comes with different turns and views offering tall pines on one side and a blue lake on the other. At the start of my run, the wind was in my face so by the time I reached the lake, it should have been at my back. It wasn’t. It was in my face. A few hundred yards along the lake trail I had turned enough so that the wind was diminished. Then, unexpectedly, it was in my face again. Some people believe that God can speak to us in the wind. Our life has lots of turns and twists and God will speak to us at different times and different ways.

Revelation Study Guide
David Silver
Many people, even Christians, fear the book of Revelation. While it is one of the hardest books of the Bible to understand and apply, it is nonetheless possible to make great progress. It is actually one of the most encouraging books of the Bible. The main theme is for believers to continue to be faithful and endure tribulation, despite persecution, spiritual warfare, and trials. This study guide will take you through every chapter of Revelation and give you a good sense of the content and application. May God richly bless you as the book promises to those who take this book to heart.
