Many people are actually afraid of the book of Revelation due to its scary images of beasts, dragons, judgment, etc.But when unpacking this apocalyptic, prophetic book, it turns out to be one of the most encouraging books of the Bible. We are not meant to interpret the newspaper, guess when Christ will return, or even to predict details that have not been revealed. Rather, as believers we are to be faithful, standing firm on our faith, realizing we are on the winning side. God is sovereign over history and the end in general is unfolded.
