1 Peter 1:8

Jesus Christ knows what we’re thinking, feeling, and believing. He knows this better than we do. The Apostle Peter wanted the early Christians to know that no matter what, there will be undefinable joy when in relationship with Jesus. Even with setbacks, when things aren’t going well, the underlying belief in Jesus will fill our hearts with tremendous and pure joy.
Peter wanted his readers and followers to know that even though Jesus is not visibly present in our lives, we love him and believe in him and Jesus rewards this faith. What do you turn to when things aren’t going well? Do you pray to Jesus? Do you love him more or get angry with him? Next time, seek him out, love him, believe in him, and be, “filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy”.
